Louisville Archbishop Shelton J. Fabre will be the keynote speaker at a prayer breakfast hosted by the Vocation Fund on Thursday, June 29 at Big Spring Country Club in Louisville. The invitation-only event will gather approximately 35 local benefactors and the superiors of local religious communities, including the Benedictine Monks of Saint Meinrad Archabbey. "The goal of the breakfast," says Vocation Fund Board Chair Father Anthony Vinson, O.S.B., "is to continue building awareness of the impact of educational debt on religious vocations and help raise needed funds to alleviate the burden of student loans for candidates to religious life." Vocation Fund Executive Director Phil Loftus also hopes to share the success of some of the newly vowed religious whose religious institutes have received grants from the National Fund for Catholic Religious Vocations.
